Thursday, May 13th, 2010Itâs been a few days of tattoos and surprising party guests, and no mistake. First, David Beckham showed off his new body art following a game between his current team AC Milan and arch-rivals Juventus. The tat in question? A not-especially-cheery image of a blood-stained Jesus, apparently based on a painting called The Man of Sorrows. Itâs a tribute to Becksâ late granddad though, so weâd best not be too snarky.
Still on interesting skin-based ink, news emerged that truly talentless twins John and Edward Grimes aka Jedward are hooking up with none other than Vanilla Ice for their debut single (a version of âIce Ice Babyâ, natch). Lest we forget, Vanilla has the phrase âwide openâ tattooed across his fingers â no, weâve no idea why eitherâ¦
And the party surprise? None other than Cheryl Cole, who rocked up looking all fabulous like (with hubby Ashley) to Take That supremo Gary Barlow and wife Dawnâs 10th wedding anniversary bash at a London hotel. In fact, Chezzaâs Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh was there too, along with several other of Garyâs Comic Relief Kilimanjaro climb chums. Ainât no mountain high enough, even when itâs freezing out, apparently!
Speaking of Mrs Cole, we actually felt sorry for her when she was spotted out with her hair in such a mess. Celebrity crises donât usually upset us, but in this case weâd like to send out our sympathies to Miss Cole on occasion of this minor tragedy. Ashley seemed to be amused by the whole incident, as if it wasnât as significant as his wife made out â shame on you Ashley.
Cheryl Coleâs hair normally looks full of body with not a strand out of place. She even has body guards looking out for her hair, as seen by the photos taken when she left Gary Barlowâs wedding anniversary party. Well she is the face of Lâoreal, so needs to make her hair looks prefer – because sheâs worth it. But then, arenât we all?

And most of the time when rich people party they party hard, with lots of alcohol, lots of drugs, and a room full of sexually charged super stars. Because fame comes at such a high price, many celebrities end up with alcohol or drug addiction problems. Stars like Lindsay Lohan, Robert Downey Jr, and Kate Moss have struggled in and out of the limelight. Plenty other stars like Nicole Richie and Courtney Love find themselves getting pulled over, arrested, or sometimes stuck at the fault of a serious accident. Even though being a celebrity seems like glamour and fortune, some famous people have decided to refrain from the act of drinking alcohol. These people are known as “teetotals.”
There are actually quite a few celebrities who have decided to get off their bar stools and sober up. To rid their bodies of alcohol’s harming effects, stars like Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, and David Bowie have decided to completely stay away from alcohol. Jay Leno has also told CNN that he doesn’t drink alcohol and that he has never smoked a joint or a cigarette. Now that’s strength! The infamous Bruce Lee never drank a sip of alcohol either. He believed in keeping his body in the utmost condition, and healthy it was! Lee never smoked anything or did any kind of drugs in his life, and it really paid off.

The $5 million refit includes seven bars, a ladies lounge, two beer gardens, VIP lounge and a stage for live bands complete with a million-dollar lighting and sound set-up. “It’s exciting but I can hardly stand,” an exhausted Mr Lyons said. “I’m extremely proud, now I just want Geelong people to feel the same way.” Mr Lyons, worked with Melbourne architect James Bate on the refit and used his own artistic flair to decorate the pub. “It’s my dream, it’s everything that I’ve dreamed of creating and now the day has come to share it with everyone,” Lyons said. In 1992, Darryn Lyons founded the picture company Big Pictures after working for News of the World and the Daily Mail. Big Pictures supplies paparazzi-style photography for news organizations. Lyons gained widespread media attention when his company sold a photograph to News of the World, which was used to support a claim that soccer star David Beckham was having an affair with his personal assistant Rebecca Loos. When Big Pictures launched in 1992 it took the industry by storm. Big Pictures are now the world’s largest celebrity picture agency with a worldwide staff of 75 representing over 1000 photographers, supplying pictures to 40 countries. Is Lindsay Lohan on Her Way to Ugly Betty?

Big-named guest stars seem to line up to be on the set of the highly-watched Ugly Betty, which stars America Ferrera and Vanessa Williams. First, there was Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, the former pop star and current wife of football hottie, David Beckham, who brought along her kids Brooklyn , Romeo and Cruz to the shoot. Her stint has barely ended when rumors of Lindsay Lohan appearing on Ugly Betty proliferated all over the media.
Details to come later, as we need to cover the spoilers for tonight’s episode, “A Nice Day for a Posh Wedding.”
Wilhelmina Slater is to face the altar with Meade Publication’s founder himself, Bradford Meade, when her own maid of honor, Victoria Beckham, seems to be stealing the limelight. Of course, being the Slater that she is, Wilhelmina won’t let this incident pass by just like that, and she is ready to show Victoria who the real star of the wedding is.
Meanwhile, Betty is being eaten up by guilty after she had a secret arrangement with Wilhelmina, who told her to keep it from Daniel. Betty also knows about Wilhelmina’s clandestine liaison with her bodyguard, who is played by Vanessa William’s real life ex-husband, Rick Fox. Back at the Suarez residence, Betty’s father is looking forward to getting his U.S. citizenship, but is saddened at Betty’s decision of moving in with her new boyfriend, Henry.
Catch the latest episode of Ugly Betty’s season 2 tonight on ABC. As for Lindsay’s Ugly Betty stint, TV Squad reported that unnamed sources on the set of the show have been talking about Lohan’s representatives, who seem to be in negotiation with the producers. They said that the young actress might be having a three-episode arc in the series, portraying her as an assistant manager of the fast food joint where Betty’s father works. Lohan’s character will be an ex-high school beauty queen who is forced into a job after encountering hard times. Betty feels for the plight of the young girl and offers her a job at Mode. This much has circulated, but as for Lohan’s final say on this matter, fans will have to sit and wait.
